چکیده

Abstract Aquitards are common hydrogeological features in the subsurface. Typically, pumping tests used to parameterize hydraulic conductivity of heterogeneous aquitards. However, they do not take spatial variability and uncertainty into account. Alternatively, core-scale measurements geostatistical upscaling methods, for which their correlation lengths needed, but this information is extremely difficult obtain. This study investigates whether a test can be obtain needed account about aquitard conductivity. Random realizations generated from data with varying inserted groundwater flow model simulates outcome an actual test. The yielded better fit than traditional result, assuming homogeneous layers selected. Ranges horizontal vertical that pumping-test well found. considerable regarding remains, should considered when parameterizing regional model.

An Interactive Bayesian Geostatistical Inverse Protocol for Hydraulic Tomography

[1] Hydraulic tomography is a powerful technique for characterizing heterogeneous hydrogeologic parameters. An explicit trade-off between characterization based on measurement misfit and subjective characterization using prior information is presented. We apply a Bayesian geostatistical inverse approach that is well suited to accommodate a flexible model with the level of complexity driven by t...

Zoning hydraulic conductivity using different geostatistical methods (Case study Shavoor)

In studies of irrigation and drainage projects for drainage, it is necessary to extend the data from the sampling point to the network. Therefore, based on available data from observational wells, estimating the state of hydraulic conductivity (K) in the surrounding area. The estimation process values for locations where there is no information for them based on viewing areas called wells spati...

Hydraulic Conductivity Imaging from 3-D Transient Hydraulic Tomography at Several Pumping/Observation Densities

[1] 3-D Hydraulic tomography (3-D HT) is a method for aquifer characterization whereby the 3-D spatial distribution of aquifer flow parameters (primarily hydraulic conductivity, K) is estimated by joint inversion of head change data from multiple partially penetrating pumping tests. While performance of 3-D HT has been studied extensively in numerical experiments, few field studies have demonst...
